If you follow MAC Cosmetics, then you may already know that several years back they made the switch to synthetic makeup brushes. Most people are not happy about that switch and the reviews of the synthetic brushes have been terrible. The only good reviews I’ve seen have come from Makeup artists and people that I assume had never tried MAC’s natural hair versions. I got the synthetic 239 brush for free in an order that I placed and I actually liked it, which led me to try these two brushes as well. I won’t be reviewing the 239S at the moment. It has been so long since I have used it, I don’t feel like I can give a good review of it right now. So I’ll have to circle back to that brush in the future. Top mac brushes Dip the bristles into the liquid makeup, or swipe the bristles into a cream stick or powder, then lightly swirl them into your skin. Remember: Just the tips. If you have a heavy hand or the tendency to jab your brushes into your skin (why do we do this?!), hold the brush by the very end, giving you virtually no control over the brush.
Best mac blending brush
Made of natural fibres, the 109 Small Contour Brush from MAC is perfect for applying powder highlight products. The softly rounded dome tip disperses just the right amount of product and smoothly blends the colour onto the face. Post navigation Sigma Domed Utility E34 – This is a small and very dense domed brush with soft bristles. It’s great for applying and blending shadow under the eye for a smoky look, and also for super precise application in the outer V area.

I definitely think the 217 is better suited to blending powder shadows rather than cream shadows as I find a fluffier brush a little more effective especially with MAC Paint Pots. I’ve seen bloggers use this for concealer but for me, the bristles are a little too stiff and scratchy for the delicate under-eye area and I prefer to use the Zoeva 142 Concealer and Buffer Brush as the domed bristles are a little gentler on the skin. The 217 does however do a good job at blending shadow along your bottom lashes, and applying my browbone highlight and it’s a very welcome addition to my makeup brush collection. Chineen M. Best mac eye brushes
